View of downtown of Matera, Italy, in black and white; Matera, Basilicata, a district of Southern Italy, has an incredible and millenary history, from the shame of Italy in the 50s - an incredible level of poverty, residents lived in the caves, with big families and livestock, without electricity, plumbing or running water - to European Capital of culture in 2019, through the staus of UNESCO heritage site in 1993 and set for dozens of Italian and foreign films; one among all Mel Gibson's "Passion of the Christ".
